The world is full of greenwashing. It’s important for me to not just talk the Green talk but walk the Green walk. I am constantly considering the environmental impacts of all of my actions, in both business and personal life.
I left Sydney to live off grid and a community set amongst stunning bushland and National Park, in Crescent Head, NSW. My husband, James and I are working hard to become fully self sufficient and waste free. We harvest all our power from solar energy, collect rainwater, use a dry composting toilet and grow much of our own food through organic, permaculture practices. We are hand building our straw bale cottage utilising passive solar heating and natural cooling systems. To us, this is paradise.
I work with organisations and companies who function ethically and with sound environmental practices.
It is up to individuals to make the changes we want to see in the world. I choose to work with and support the positive change makers. This includes:
