I was in Byron Bay for a fashion and lifestyle photo shoot for Japanese wetsuit brand, Moon Jelly.  This boutique brand happens to come from the little surf town I lived in a few years ago in Chiba-Ken (east of Tokyo), where they hand make customised super kawaii wetsuits.  The Moon Jelly crew were in Australia for the Byron Bay Surf Festival. We shot at Atlantic Byron Bay a picturesque resort in the heart of Byron.  It was the perfect backdrop for our swimwear/surf fashion photography shoot.   SaveSave SaveSave SaveSave SaveSaveSaveSave   I’m based in Crescent Head NSW.  If you don’t know it, Crescent Head is a beautiful surf village half way between Byron Bay and Sydney.  Our biggest town nearby is Port Macquarie.  Our beaches on the Mid North Coast are insanely beautiful (and usually empty) and the bushland is endless. Please get in touch if you’d like to book a lifestyle shoot with me in Crescent Head.  I’m also available to travel throughout NSW and internationally.  Email today with enquiries at info@aliciafoxphotography.com   See more of my Lifestyle Photography HERE ve SaveSave SaveSave SaveSave Read More
I photographed Tash's set at FotSun and was mesmerised by her massive energy. When you are in the midst of someone doing what they were put on the earth to do, who is beaming with life and exploding with enthusiasm, it's impossible to look away... Read More
Fashion is a fun industry to work in.  It’s fun to wear, it’s fun to style and it’s fun to photograph.  For me, it’s very important to make sure the fashion I’m involved in is “clean” – good for the environment and good for the fashion industry workers, ie. Environmentally and socially sustainable. Following recent disasters like the Rana Plaza Disaster, in which thousands of garment workers in Bangladesh were killed and injured, and yesterday’s footwear factory fire in the Philiipines in which 72 were killed, the industry is shifting and  consumers are beginning to demand more transparency of the supply chain and more ethical fashion industry practices.  Fashion Revolution is one organisation doing amazing things to advance this important movement.   Photography plays a major role in promoting sales of products in the fashion industry.  Being an Eco Photographer is important to me.  It  means I support the ethical brands that are part of this fashion revolution.  These are often new, grass roots labels who are building a name for themselves from the ground up. Australian sunglasses brand, Chief Eyewear are one such brand that I had the pleasure of working with.  Their bamboo sunglasses are high quality and […] Read More
I am available to photographer indoor and outdoor events in the Mid North Coast, or nationally.  Past clients include Sydney Morning Herald, University of Sydney and Victoria Rugby League.  I shoot events in an unobtrusive way to capture the energy and excitement: whether it is a celebration, corporate function or music festival.     I photographed events while living in Melbourne and in Sydney. Event organisers often hired me based on my documentary photography portfolio, which although shot in a very different environment, requires similar techniques and skills. These include understanding different lighting situations, setting up a good composition and predicting the perfect moment, as well as having the equipment necessary to fulfill the brief.         I have recently move to the Mid North Coast of NSW, where I am re-launching my photography business. There are really exciting things happening here in arts and culture, and I am looking forward to the opportunities to photograph local events and music festivals in Port Macquarie and the surrounding areas, getting to know the people, places and scene along the way.     You can contact me on 0429 211 567 or info@aliciafox.net with inquiries about you upcoming events. As the days heat up and Summer vibes kick in, up here on the Mid-North Coast, I thought I’d revisit a super fun photo shoot I did in Costa Rica for Venezuelan label, Desi Swimwear. We had a ball shooting with these Latin beauties, on the breathtaking Playa Hermosa, as perfect waves rolled in behind us. These bubbly girls were so much fun to work with. You can check out some behind the scenes shots on my Facebook page here. I’ve been having a fabulous time scoping out locations for future fashion shoots and other photo shoots around Port Macquarie and Crescent Head (and in the process, finding my new favourite beach in the whole wide world!). Being new to this area, I am so overwhelmed by its natural beauty. I feel so blessed to live in this stunning part of Australia and I’m so looking forward to all the beautiful, natural backdrops I’ll be working with in the future, on shoot like the one picture here.
